Charts and settings should be adjusted to the users needs. When building a chartbook workspace I want every chart, setting, and study to have a purpose. The least resources possible. Here are some points we’ll cover in the Performance Guide
- Use multiple instances and/or copies of Sierra chart to distribute computing power
- 1 instance’s charts use low latency instance for triggering trades important charts
- 1 instance’s charts use a lower-refresh for charting analysis and background charts
- Use the least possible amount of days to load the data for each chart
- Minimize charts that are not visually needed
- Set the chart update interval to as slow as possible for lesser-speed dependent charts
- Do not use thick graphical lines, avoid dashed draw style, avoid transparent draw styles, or excessive chart drawings
